Hayk Sargsyan

Hayk Sargsyan is a partner at GM LEGAL Law Firm. He specializes in constitutional law, international private and investment law, intellectual property and media law, corporate law, and proceedings on recovery of illegally acquired assets.
He provides legal representation at the Commission for Control of Interpol Files (Interpol).
Since 2018, he has been a member of the New York State Bar Association, and since 2025, a member of the California Bar Association.
He was lecturer at the American University, the Faculty of Law of Yerevan State University, and the Faculty of Law of Slavonic University. He is the author of several scholarly articles.
Education
He earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees at the Faculty of Law, Yerevan State University.
From 2012–2015, he studied in the postgraduate program at YSU in the Department of Criminal Procedure, earning a PhD in Law.
In 2015–2016, he studied at Columbia University Law School, New York, USA, obtaining an LL.M. degree and was awarded the Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar for high achievement.
He also completed professional training at the Hertie School of Governance, Berlin.
Professional Experience
Since 2010, he has worked in various public and private institutions.
He served as Assistant to the Minister of Justice, Advisor to the Head of Staff of the National Assembly, and Head of the Legal Department of the National Assembly. In more than thirty cases, he represented the National Assembly at the Constitutional Court.
He has worked as a research specialist at the Academy of Justice and as legal counsel for the German crypto-focused company Lunu Solutions. He also served as Chief Legal Officer at PanArmenia Media Group.
